Further booking information
Aquasports is a fun environment to be in, but it involves lots of people near deep water. We are committed to ensuring that the camp is safe at all times. Please read the following information, which is for the benefit and safety of all those attending camp.
GENERAL
In order to ensure the safety of all campers and the smooth running of camp, we ask all campers to agree to a basic Code of Conduct, our Terms of Contract and to complete a Health Certificate. These are required before your booking can be finalised. Please read and complete the following three documents:
Terms of Contract PDF | Campers' Code of Conduct PDF | Campers' Health Certificate PDF
CARS
As part of ensuring that Aquasports is a safe and fun environment, we have a safety policy relating to the use of cars and carrying passengers. Over recent years, we have heard about some tragic car accidents involving young people and have taken advice relating to this and the safety of young people at Aquasports.
Therefore, if you are of driving age and are planning to bring a car with you to Aquasports, please be aware that no-one will be allowed to carry passengers in their car unless:
• They are over 21 years of age AND;
• They have been a fully qualified driver for 3 years or over.
We try to provide a daily shuttle service for those who wish to visit Marlow.
PUBLICITY
Each year we update our publicity for Aquasports. As part of this process, we will be taking photographs and video clips throughout the week for use in the new brochures, DVD and website. It is our policy to inform all parents/guardians of this and to give you the opportunity to inform us if you have an objection to this. If we do not hear from you prior to the commencement of Aquasports, we will assume that you do not object.
WEIL’S DISEASE
As you are aware, all sporting activities carry some health hazard. A potential problem with water sports is the contraction of an infection such as Weil’s Disease, through cuts in the skin or swallowing river water. This disease is only serious if not recognised early and treated with antibiotics.
Should your son/daughter develop a fever in the few weeks after taking part in water based activities at Aquasports, it is advised that you inform your Doctor so that he/she can consider the possibility of Weil’s Disease.
Although the chance of contracting a water-borne infection is extremely small, we thought you would wish to be made aware of this possibility.
